Case Study: St Joseph’s Boys NS

Castle Leslie is a large country estate in Co. Monaghan and in his research, one of the boys from St Joseph’s Boys NS had found a story about Belgian refugees coming to the house during WW1. A little detail like this has a strong resonance with current global events and these are the kind of threads that could be drawn out as the project progresses: a lot of people were on the move across the globe, in Europe and in Ireland for many different reasons between 1912 and 1922.
