Case Study: Annsborough Integrated PS
In the course of the project the idea of truth has been discussed a lot -what sources can be trusted, what facts are accurate. One of the children from Annsborough Integrated Primary School had uncovered this information in her research about a famous recruiting poster. There is an important thread emerging throughout the project regarding this idea of fact and opinion, truth and fallacy and what sources can be trusted and verified.
The truth is in there somewhere.
“And you know, the thing is: you might find a story by word of mouth and then you go: ‘That doesn’t fit with another story about the same thing.’ So then you’ve two versions, haven’t you? And you’re like, ‘Hmmm.’
The truth is in there somewhere.”
-Mary Branley, writer, talking to children in Annsborough Integrated PS, Castlewelllan
